Our DIY kits for Telecaster-style guitars supply you with premium components so you can wire up your guitar yourself! Our pots are hand metered and matched for optimal performance, and the Sprague Orange Drop capacitors produce a vintage sound that has been praised by guitar enthusiasts.
This Telecaster Wiring Upgrade Kit for Telecaster-style guitars with 2 single-coil pickups is designed to fit most American Fender Teles with no modification required. However, if you are installing this assembly on an import guitar with metric-sized pots, you may need to drill out your control plate holes to accept the slightly larger US-spec pots and buy US-spec knobs.
This assembly includes 22 AWG vintage push-back wire, giving it a vintage look and sound.
The kit includes two CTS solid shaft pots, a premium 3-way switch, a Switchcraft 1/4″ mono input jack, a 0.047uf or 0.22uf Orange Drop Tone Capacitor (0.022uf are used with 500K-Ohm Pots Option for Humbuckers), and a wiring diagram. Please note that the control plate, switch tip, or knobs are not included.
